Hi my name is Ash

As a former Physio I wouldn't have thought of creating from behind a camera a career, but somehow found an equal flow-state and feeling of serenity. Healing people is a very particular kind of soul fuel, however capturing beautiful imagery in real time sets my heart alight.

Not having held a cinematic camera before embarking on this journey, I was asked by a friend and phenomenal DOP, Ross Hillier, to help out on a few of his jobs to which I had found a bit of a liking. Then one profound scene that I had captured on the coastline of the Transkei activated my inner creative... I WAS HOOKED, and so began the deep dive into an entirely new realm. 
 

From behind the camera to behind the wheel, I thoroughly enjoy commandeering vehicles of any kind so driving the camera and stunt vehicles has become an aspect of my film career that helps fuel a wilder side of my newly found passion.
